Tsunami Benefit
Last Saturday Pure Filth held a residents party with proceeds going towards the Victims of the Tsunami.

"Once the true scale of the devastation caused by the tsunami became apparant, Filthydave suggested that we should organise a benefit gig as soon as possible, and it just seemed logical to run the January event as a fundraiser. 

"I can't really say enough about people's generosity on the door.  People were very quick to stick their hands in their pockets and give more than the minimum donation... The atmosphere rocked all night as well and was a great start to the 2005, especially after New Years Eve was such a good end to 2004... 

"Basically we were always planning on doing a resident party in January, as the first Saturday in January isn't normally the greatest date for a club night, after the over indulgences of xmas and new years eve...  Through out the year we generally put on pretty fat line ups and the residents all generally play very early on in the evening.  People constantly ask when we're going to put the residents on later and January generally gives us an opportunity to forget about the big names for a month...

"A big thanks to everyone who donated at the door,  and everyone who gave up their time to help organise Saturday's Pure Filth Tsunami Appeal Party...   We raised £420 for Tsunami and kicked the new year off with a stonking party to boot..."
